LEAD ABATEMENT REFRESHER (1-Day)
This one-day refresher course is designed for currently licensed Ohio Lead Abatement Workers and Lead Abatement Contractors who need to maintain their Ohio lead license.
Ohio requires licensed Lead Abatement Workers and Contractors to successfully complete an approved refresher course every two years to remain eligible for license renewal. Rather than repeating the full initial course, this refresher reviews the latest state and federal regulations, lead-safe work practices, containment procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), engineering controls, documentation requirements, and industry updates. Whether you're working in the field or managing projects, this course reinforces the knowledge and best practices needed to continue performing lead abatement safely, professionally, and in compliance with Ohio law.
Students who successfully complete the refresher course and pass the required course examination will receive a course completion certificate that satisfies Ohio's refresher training requirement for both Lead Abatement Workers and Lead Abatement Contractors.
To avoid interruptions to your license, we recommend scheduling your refresher course well before your license expiration date. Waiting until the last minute may limit class availability and could delay your renewal. If your Ohio lead license expires, additional requirements may apply before you can become licensed again.
